ABOUT US

Akshara School began with the concept of creating a friendly environment for the education of children in the vicinity of their homes. Over the past nine years we have successfully developed ourselves as a 'Neighborhood School' in Rajendernagar.

Akshara School was founded in 2003 by the Vijaya Sai Educational Society. The School's Motto is 'Gain More Knowledge Reach Greater Heights'.The School's main focus is on Social inclusion for Educational and Ethical growth, to level inequalities ingrained due to gender, caste, economic and religious discrimination. Education in today's economic realities is an expensive option for parents of young children.

Curriculum

AKSHARA Model High School (A.M.H.S) is a co-educational school that seeks to provide education of the highest academic standards. Children learn spontaneously through 'Child-centre' activities in a prepared environment, without external pressures.                                                                                                             At A.M.H.S we equip the child through multi-sensorial stimulation. Activities and projects are designed to integrate subjects like languages (English ,Hindi, Telugu) , Mathematics, Science, Art, Sports, etc using a variety of methodology, thereby overcoming artificial subject barriers.

This enables children to have a more practical and realistic view of the world around them. As the learning process is based on hands-on experience and exploration by the students, the role of the teacher becomes that of a facilitator. It has been the constant Endeavour of the school to make education increasingly child-friendly

Students are encouraged to take an active part in their own learning and to use their own initiative to develop into independent learners with a strong desire to think critically.

Our curriculum is designed to be thought-provoking and with the aim of helping our students to become life-long learners. We believe the content and process of learning should be appropriate for each age and stage of development of the child. The curriculum focuses on physical, sensory, cognitive, language, social, emotional, personal, and aesthetic aspects, thereby developing the 'whole child'.

Children are groomed with a global perspective and are imparted with knowledge combined with values, preparing them to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

  • School Timings are 8:30a.m To 3:30 P.m. Mon to Friday. Saturday is a half day.
  • Preprimary Will Be working 8:30 a.m. To 12:30 P.m.Mon to Friday. Five day a week ,Saturday is a holiday
  • Quarterly Examination 2012 will start from 21st September.
  • School will be working as usual timings for the Exam Period.
  • Next PTA Meeting will be held on 20th October, Quarterly Report  cards will given to the Parents
  • Dassera Holidays Will Commence 21 October and School will Reopen on 29th October.
